Cards
are nominative and non-transferable. Before use, the
name and surname of the cardholder or, in the case of "Family" cards, the head of the family must be written on the back. They must be presented to ticket inspectors along with a valid
identification document. Children under four years of age travel on trains and have free access to park services when accompanied by an adult cardholder.
FOR TOURISTS
Access to the Via dell'Amore is by reservation, choosing a ½-hour time slot, for a maximum of 200 people every 30 minutes.
The maximum travel time is 30 minutes.
The entrance is from Riomaggiore (on the left when exiting the station) and, in high season, the route is one-way with an exit at Manarola.
VISITING HOURS AND TOURIST USE
- From October 26, 2025, to March 28, 2026 (last day of daylight saving time): Open to residents at 7:30 a.m.; reservations open at 9:00 a.m.; reservations close at 5:30 p.m.; road closed to all at 1:00 a.m.
- from March 29, 2026 to October 24, 2026 (last day of solar time): opening hours for residents are 7:30 a.m.; reservations open at 9:00 a.m.; reservations close at 9:00 p.m.; road closure for everyone is 1:00 a.m.;
- From October 25, 2026, to March 27, 2027 (last day of daylight saving time): Open to residents at 7:30 a.m.; reservations open at 9:00 a.m.; reservations close at 5:30 p.m.; road closed to all at 1:00 a.m.

Entrance to the Via dell'Amore can be purchased online and on-site, exclusively with the Cinque Terre Card Via dell'Amore. Tourists staying in accommodations in the Municipality of Riomaggiore, holding a Guest Card, and staying in establishments with the CETS (European Charter for Sustainable Tourism) Environmental Quality Mark, can purchase the Via dell'Amore ticket
at a discounted price of €8.00.

For residents of the municipalities of Riomaggiore, Vernazza, and Monterosso, access to the Via dell'Amore is always free, open in both directions and without a reservation, during road opening hours.
Access rights will be verified by checking your identity document.
- RESIDENTS IN THE PROVINCE OF LA SPEZIA (EXCLUDING THE MUNICIPALITIES OF RIOMAGGIORE, VERNAZZA, AND MONTEROSSO)
For residents of the Province of La Spezia (excluding the municipalities of Riomaggiore, Vernazza, and Monterosso), the same provisions already in place for access to the other trails in the Cinque Terre National Park apply.
During visiting hours, entry is permitted with the purchase of the Cinque Terre Card Via dell'amore, under the same conditions as for individual tourists; outside these hours, access is free , without reservation, and permitted in both directions.
Eligibility for access during the free time slot will be verified by checking your identity document.
- OWNERS OF SECOND HOMES IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF RIOMAGGIORE, FORMER RESIDENTS OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF RIOMAGGIORE AND THEIR RESPECTIVE FAMILIES
For owners of second homes in the Municipality of Riomaggiore, former residents of the Municipality of Riomaggiore, and their families, access to the Via dell'Amore is always free, possible in both directions and without reservation, during the road's opening hours.
Access rights will be verified through a self-certification to be presented upon entry (a form can be downloaded from the Riomaggiore Municipality website) or through a certificate requested from the Riomaggiore Municipality and verification of an identity document.
- TOURISTS RESIDENT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF RIOMAGGIORE
For tourists residing in the Municipality of Riomaggiore and in possession of the Riomaggiore Guest Card, the ticket is discounted to €8.00 and access is permitted in both directions and outside of the reservation time slot for the duration of the stay.
Access entitlement will be verified by checking your identity document and ensuring it matches the name on the Cinque Terre Card and the Resident Tourist Card.
- TOURISTS RESIDENT IN CETS FACILITIES
For tourists residing in CETS facilities in the Cinque Terre National Park, the ticket is discounted to €8.00.
Access is permitted in both directions during the reservation time slot and with the same ticket after closing time for visits, on the days the Cinque Terre Card is valid.
Access entitlement will be verified by checking your identity document and ensuring it matches the name on the Cinque Terre Card.
